Circuit Description

Dash Integration Module (DIM) has a designated circuit for monitoring vehicle system voltage via Class 2 serial data line. DIM sends system voltage status to modules that do not monitor system voltage via Class 2 serial data line. When DTC B1390 is set in DIM, system voltage status sent to other modules will default to 12.9 volts.

DTC will set as current when voltage is greater than 15.9 volts for 1.2 seconds, DTC B1390 is not set current in DIM and ignition switch is not in OFF or CRANK position. When DTC is set, modules disable ability to set "U" codes or other DTCs.

DTC will clear from current status when voltage is less than 15.9 volts for 1.2 seconds. History DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for malfunction is no longer present. Scan tool can be used to manually clear DTC.
