Driver's Seat Functions Inoperative
- Perform POWER SEATS SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
- Disconnect 8-pin connector C315, located under driver's seat. Using DVOM, check voltage between harness connector C315 terminal No. 3 (Red wire) and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, go to step 4 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in Red wire between power seat switch harness connector C315 terminal No. 3 and PWR SEAT fuse (30-amp) in fuse block, located below and left of steering column. Go to step 7 .
- Using DVOM, measure resistance between power seat switch harness connector C315 terminal No. 4 (Black wire) and ground. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step 6 . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in Black wire between power seat switch harness connector terminal No. 4 and ground in left front of engine compartment, below battery tray. Go to step 7 .
- Replace power seat switch. See POWER SWITCHES under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
- Reconnect all disconnected components and connectors. Recheck system operation. If seat does not operate properly, go to step 1 .
