Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform POWERTRAIN ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC (OBD) SYSTEM CHECK , then go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, select DTC INFO and note if this DTC has failed this ignition cycle. If DTC failed, diagnose EBTCM system. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM article in BRAKES section. If DTC did fail this ignition, go to next step.
  3. Check EBTCM system for any history ABS/TCS DTC(s) or system problems. If any other DTC(s) or problems are noted, diagnose EBTCM system. See ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM article in BRAKES section. If no other DTCs are present, fault is not present. See DIAGNOSTIC AIDS.
