DTC B2556: EEPROM Error: Testing

When DTC B2556 is set, all remote control functions will be disabled. Since this fault indicates an internal malfunction and the EEPROM is not serviceable, the RCDLR must be replaced. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.

After replacing RCDLR, DTCs must be cleared. See RETRIEVING & CLEARING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. DTC will automatically clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles or can be cleared by using scan tool. After repair, transmitters must be programmed to new receiver. See TRANSMITTER PROGRAMMING  under PROGRAMMING PROCEDURES.
