DTC P065: Cruise Control Servo Position Sensor Failure: Action

PCM disables cruise control.

NOTE: Numbers in list refer to circled numbers in diagnostic flow chart, see Fig 1. For circuit identification see Fig 2.
  1. Checking if the cruise control feedback is a value that it should never be even with the servo fully released (0 to 2).
  2. Checking if PCM and circuitry to the cruise control servo are OK (measure 4.6 to 5.1 volts).
  3. Checking CKT 399 for an open.
  4. Checking CKT 398 for an open.
  5. Checking CKT 398 for a short to ground. If wire OK, PCM is open internally.
  6. Checking if cruise control servo is operating normally. If feedback is greater than 30, the servo is operating correctly.
