Conditions For Cruise Control Inoperative Test

CRUISE CONTROL INOPERATIVE TEST

Action Test Conditions ECM Display For Diagnosis
Depress Brake Pedal (1) LO (2)(3)
Release Brake Pedal (1) HI (2)(3)
Depress Brake Pedal (4) LO (2)(5)
Release Brake Pedal (4) HI (2)(5)
(1) Enter ECM diagnostics and select input test E170. Cruise control switch must be ON.
(2) If ECM displays are correct, go to CRUISE CONTROL INPUT TEST (EI83)  .
(3) If ECM displays are NOT correct, go to E170 input test diagnosis in appropriate BODY COMPUTER MODULE article.
(4) Enter ECM diagnostics and select input test E171. Cruise control switch must be ON.
(5) If ECM displays are NOT correct, go to ECM INPUT TEST EI71: VCC BRAKE SWITCH  .
