BCM Code B450, HVAC Coolant Temperature Too High

If Code EO14 is also stored, repair Code EO14 first. Code B450 is designed to disengage A/C compressor clutch if engine coolant temperature exceeds 261°F (126°C), and re-engage when temperature falls to less than 248°F (120°C). With engine running enter BCM parameter BD21. Display will be in degrees Celsius. Record coolant temperature.

Engine overheating may accompany this code. If coolant temperature exceeds normal operating range, check sources of overheating. If coolant temperature displayed exceeds actual coolant temperature as measured with a radiator coolant temperature tester, sensor may be faulty.
