Notes On Intermittents

If Code E58 is set intermittently, problem could be caused by:

• Intermittent short to ground or voltage on circuit No. 229.
• Intermittent open on circuit No. 229.
• Intermittent loss of power or ground to Pass Key Module. Pass Key Module reads ignition key once each ignition cycle, when ignition is first turned on. Faults in key pellet and circuits can cause a no-start condition but cannot cause a stall or set a Code E58.
