Problem Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Notes

In diagnosing the cause of system malfunction, the problem should be isolated as to which one of four areas the problem belongs in. The areas are:

1. Temperature control.
2. Blower control.
3. Auxiliary electrical and vacuum functions.
4. Refrigeration.

It is suggested that a "Functional Test" be made as the first step in isolating an owner complaint or system malfunction. To make this first test, observe the following instructions as the test is made in the sequence given below. Position the selector lever and temperature dial as indicated, and observe system operation for each test.
