Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Replacement - Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Drain the cooling system. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) 
  2. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
  3. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector - Disconnect
1 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Retainer
2 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Procedure

  1. Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Electrical Connector - Connect
  2. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Hose Replacement
  3. Fill the cooling system to the proper level. Cooling System Draining and Filling (GE 47716) , or Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static) 
  4. Start the engine and check for coolant leaks.
