Circuit/System Verification

• If any DTCs are set 

  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .

• Go to next step: If no DTCs are set 

• If 12 V or less 

  Refer to Battery Inspection/Test .

• Go to next step: If greater than 12 V 

• Battery Sensor Module Battery State Information parameter reads Available.
• Battery Sensor Module Reset Occurred - Using Estimated State of Charge reads No.

• If not the specified value 

1. Disconnect and reconnect the C1 Battery Negative cable.
   NOTE:

   Allowing the vehicle to sit undisturbed for 3 h will automatically perform a Battery Sensor Learn upon the next engine cranking event. This will allow the battery state of charge to be relearned.

2. Wait a minimum of 3 hours.
3. Start the engine.
4. Test drive the vehicle.

   Verify the Stop/Start System is functioning correctly.

   • if a condition exists

     Refer to Stop/Start Disable, Inhibit, and Restart Reasons 

   • Go to next step: If No Conditions exists
5. All OK.

• Go to next step: If the Specified Value 

Verify the Stop/Start System is functioning correctly.

• if a condition exists 

  Refer to Stop/Start Disable, Inhibit, and Restart Reasons 

• Go to next step: If No Conditions exists 

• If the infotainment system turns off or restarts during a start/stop event. 

  Refer to Circuit/System Testing - Power Supply Transformer Circuit Malfunction

• Go to next step: If the infotainment system remains active during a start/stop event 

• If 12 V or less, 

  refer to Battery Inspection/Test .

• Go to next step: If greater than 12 V, 

• If any DTC is set, 

  refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .

• Go to next step: If DTC is not set, 

• If the Indicator does not turn on and off 

  Refer to Circuit/System - Stop/Start Switch Malfunction

• Go to next step: If the Indicator turns on and off 

1. disconnect the battery negative cable and reconnect.
2. Wait for at least 3 hours.
3. Start engine.
4. Test drive the vehicle.

   Verify that there is no Stop/Start System malfunction occurring.

• If a condition exists,

  refer to Stop/Start Disable, Inhibit, and Restart Reasons 

• Go to next step: If no conditions exist,

Verify that the following malfunctions do not occur in the Stop/Start System.

• If a condition exists, 

  refer to Stop/Start Disable, Inhibit, and Restart Reasons 

• Go to next step: If no conditions exist, 

• If the infotainment system turns off or restarts during a start/stop event, 

  refer to "Circuit/System Testing - Power Supply Transformer Malfunction"

• Go to next step: If the infotainment system remains active during a start/stop event,
