Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    NOTE: The final pass should be performed in the sequence shown in the graphic.
  1. Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly 2 - Install into the cylinder head evenly.Position the fuel injection fuel rail assembly (2) into the cylinder head as evenly as possible.
  2. To install the fuel injection fuel rail bolts (1), perform the following steps:
    1. First Pass: Start ALL bolts by hand, but do NOT tighten.
    2. Second Pass: Tighten the outer two bolts by hand.
    3. Third Pass: Tighten the inner two bolts by hand.
    4. Final Pass: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  3. Install the NEW fuel feed intermediate pipe. Fuel Feed Intermediate Pipe Replacement

  4. Electrical Connector 1 - Connect
  5. Inspect for fuel leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
