Airbag Sensing and Diagnostic Module Replacement

Airbag Sensing and Diagnostic Module Replacement

Callout Component Name
WARNING:

Refer to SIR Warning .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove both instrument panel extensions. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement .
1 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Nut (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Reposition the carpet and sound deadening material.
  2. Remove the adapter from the floor rear air outlet duct left side.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Tighten 
10 N.m (89 lb in)
2 Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module

Procedure

  1. Tighten down the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module by all three fasteners.
  2. Connect the electrical connectors.
  3. Program the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module after replacement. Refer to Control Module References .
