Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Buick LaCrosse. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The infrared remote signal is used to transmit signals from the rear seat entertainment (RSE) remote control via pulse width modulated (PWM) signals to the radio. When a key on the remote is pressed, the remote control sends an infrared message to the infrared transmitter located in the DVD display. The infrared transmitter will convert these infrared signals into a frequency and send the message to the radio via the remote infrared signal circuits (+) and (-).
