Steering Gear Bushing Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Remove electronic power steering gear. Refer to Steering Gear Replacement .
1	Lower Steering Gear Bushing Procedure Have an assistant hold the steering gear in place. Remove and DISCARD bushing using suitable pliers. Lubricate new bushing with a mild soap to assure easy installation.
2	Upper Steering Gear Bushing Procedure Remove and DISCARD bushing using a suitable punch and a soft rubber mallet. Remove old bushing from backside. Lubricate new bushing with a mild soap to assure easy installation.

Lower Steering Gear Bushing

Procedure

Have an assistant hold the steering gear in place.
