Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Pontiac G5 and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. If replacing only the fuel pump module, transfer the fuel level sensor. Refer to Fuel Level Sensor Replacement (NU6)  or Fuel Level Sensor Replacement (NT7) .
  2. Fig 1: Remove/Install Fuel Pump And O-Ring

  3. Install the fuel pump (1) and use a NEW O-ring (2).
  4. Connect the electrical connector.

  6. Using the CH-48482:  wrench, install the cam lock ring (1) by turning clockwise.
  7. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .

  9. Connect the fuel pump electrical connector (1) and the plastic connector (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
