Front Side Door Lock Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Raise the window to the full up position. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement . Disconnect both linkage lever clip and lock cylinder rod.
1	Front Side Door Lock Fastener (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove the water deflector. Tighten 9 (80 lb in)
2	Front Side Door Lock Procedure Disconnect the door lock electrical connector. Install the front side door outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment NOTE: In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, latch, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral latch clip to outside handle rod. Integral latch clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod.

Procedure
Remove the water deflector.
Tighten
9 (80 lb in)

Front Side Door Lock

Procedure

Disconnect the door lock electrical connector.
Install the front side door outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment

NOTE:

In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, latch, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral latch clip to outside handle rod. Integral latch clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod.
