Front Side Door Lock Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Disconnect the window from the regulator, Do Not remove the window from the door. Tape the window in the full up position to the door frame. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement . Remove the two bolts from the rear window regulator rail, Do Not remove the regulator from the door. Reposition the window regulator rail to the side. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement . Remove the two bolts from the front side door window rear channel. Reposition the channel to gain access to the door lock rods. Disconnect both linkage lever clip and lock cylinder rod.
1	Front Side Door Lock Fastener (Qty: 3) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Front Side Door Lock Procedure Disconnect the door lock electrical connector. Install the front side door outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment Tip: In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, latch, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral latch clip to outside handle rod. Integral latch clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod.

Remove the two bolts from the rear window regulator rail, Do Not remove the regulator from the door. Reposition the window regulator rail to the side. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
Remove the two bolts from the front side door window rear channel. Reposition the channel to gain access to the door lock rods.
Disconnect both linkage lever clip and lock cylinder rod.

Front Side Door Lock Fastener (Qty: 3)

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)

Procedure

Disconnect the door lock electrical connector.
Install the front side door outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment

Tip: In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, latch, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral latch clip to outside handle rod. Integral latch clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod.
