Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Ensure that the fuel feed pipe and fittings are clean and dry prior to assembly.

  3. Install the fuel feed pipe (1) to the evaporative emission pipe.

  5. Install the fuel feed and evaporative emission pipes (1) as an assembly to the vehicle.

  7. Connect the brake pipes to the plastic retainers.
  8. Remove the plug or cap from the fuel feed pipe.
  9. Connect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting (1) and the evaporative emission pipe (2). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  10. Install the fuel tank protector. Refer to Fuel Tank Protector Replacement .

  12. Connect the fuel feed pipe quick connect fitting (1) and the evaporative emission pipe (2). Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service , and Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  13. Install the right side engine frame reinforcement. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Replacement .
  14. Install the right side rear underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Rear Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  15. Install the right side front underbody air deflector. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side .
  16. Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
    1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
    2. Turn OFF the ignition, for 10 seconds.
    3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
    4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
