Removal Procedure

    NOTE: DO NOT remove the screws from the upper air cleaner cover.
  1. Loosen the air cleaner cover screws (1).

  2. Open the air cleaner cover.
  3. Remove the air filter from the air cleaner.
    4. NOTE: For the LZ9 engine, the air cleaner cover has a hydro carbon adsorber that is not serviceable. If the adsorber shows any kind of physical damage the cover must be replaced.
  4. Inspect the air cleaner housing assembly for damage. If a problem is found, replace as necessary.
