Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement .
  2. Remove the fuel feed and return lines from the sender assembly. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  3. Using J 44402  , remove the fuel sender lock ring.
  4. Remove the fuel sender assembly and seal. Discard the seal.
    CAUTION: Refer to Fuel Storage Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  5. Clean the fuel sender sealing surfaces.
