Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick LeSabre. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM in SIR.
  2. Remove the fasteners securing the seat cushion to the adjuster track. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT - FRONT .
  3. Lift the front of the seat cushion up in order to gain access to the heated seat module (1).

    CAUTION: Note the correct routing of the electrical wiring. Failure to reinstall the wiring properly could result in damage to the wiring.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors (3) from the heated seat module.

  6. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the heated seat module to the bottom of the seat cushion.
  7. Remove the heated seat module (2) from the bottom of the seat cushion.
