DTC B1422: Device Power MODING Malfunction: Description

Class 2 communications will not commence until system power mode has been identified. Four discrete wires from ignition switch are monitored by Dash Integration Module (DIM) in order to determine ignition switch position. DIM communicates system power mode to all modules on class 2 serial data bus. DTC will set when one of the 4 monitored ignition switch circuits has malfunctioned. When DTC is set, DIM implements default actions for each ignition switch position.
