Manifold Air Temperature (MAT) Sensor

MAT sensor may also be referred to as an Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor. See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR heading above. A malfunction in the MAT sensor will set a related diagnostic trouble code. For testing procedures, see TESTS W/CODES article in this section.
