Test T - Brake Warning Short Circuit
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect master cylinder brake fluid level switch connector, and observe BRAKE warning light.
- If BRAKE warning light remains on, go to next step. If BRAKE warning light does not remain on, check and repair short to ground in circuit No. 333 (Purple wire) and ignition switch. If ignition switch and Purple wire are okay, replace master cylinder reservoir.
- Disconnect parking brake switch connector, and observe BRAKE warning light. If light remains on, go to next step. If light does not remain on, check parking brake adjustment. If parking brake adjustment is okay, replace parking brake switch.
- Check and repair short to ground in circuit No. 33 (Tan/White wire). If Tan/White wire is okay, go to appropriate SYMPTOM DIAGNOSIS table under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING.
- After all repairs are complete, clear codes, and perform ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
