Test D - Pressure Modulator Valve (PMV) Assembly Continuity

  1. Perform ABS/TCS functional check before proceeding. See Figure . Turn ignition off. Disconnect PMV Black C1 electrical connector. Measure resistance between PMV assembly case and PMV connector (PMV assembly half) terminal No. 14. See Figure .
  2. Resistance should be infinite. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace PMV assembly. Clear codes, and perform ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
  3. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and left front inlet solenoid valve terminal No. 3 (Dark Green wire). Resistance should be 5-8 ohms. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and right front inlet solenoid valve terminal No. 5 (Pink wire). Resistance should be 5-8 ohms.
  4. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and left rear inlet solenoid valve terminal No. 9 (Dark Blue wire). Resistance should be 5-8 ohms. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and right rear inlet solenoid valve terminal No. 7 (Gray wire). Resistance should be 5-8 ohms.
  5. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and left front outlet solenoid valve terminal No. 4 (Light Blue wire). Resistance should be 3-6 ohms. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and right front outlet solenoid valve terminal No. 6 (Brown wire). Resistance should be 3-6 ohms.
  6. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and left rear outlet solenoid valve terminal No. 10 (White wire). Resistance should be 3-6 ohms. Measure resistance between PMV terminal No. 14 and right rear outlet solenoid valve terminal No. 8 (Dark Blue wire). Resistance should be 3-6 ohms.
  7. If all resistance readings are within specifications, go to TEST E. If any reading is not within specifications, replace PMV assembly. Clear codes, and repeat ABS/TCS functional check. See Figure .
