Circuit Description
The alternator has fault detection capability built into the regulator. The BCM will supply 12 volts to the regulator over circuit No. 25, the "I" terminal, and monitor the field voltage of the alternator by way of a PWM signal over circuit No. 23, the F+ terminal.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. The term "generator" in diagnostic chart is used in place of alternator. For location of BCM pins referred to in diagnostic chart, see Figure.
