Sunload Sensor

The sunload sensor is located under the defogger grille at the base of the windshield. This sensor is of the thermistor type and senses the heat load of the sun on the vehicle. The BCM uses this sunload value and compares it to the in-car temperature to determine how much cooling is necessary to maintain the selected interior temperature.
