Control Panel: Notes
The control panel consists of 2 parts, the faceplate and the box containing the electronic hardware behind the faceplate. There are a series of low current switches behind the surface of the faceplate which transfer the control selection to a microprocessor.
The microprocessor serves 2 functions: first, to execute the desired selection through power transistors and; second, to remember the last selection ordered and display that selection ordered and display that through light emitting diodes (LEDs) in the faceplate the next time the ignition switch is turned on.
NOTE:
Control panels are NOT interchangeable between models.
On all but Skyhawk models, 3 connector bodies attach to the rear of the control panel. The Skyhawk model has only 2 connectors.
