Component Replacement: Receiver-Drier: BUICK: Replacement

Disconnect thermal limiter, and discharge system. Remove all dirt from exterior surface or VIR assembly. When system is fully discharged, loosen screws that mount receiver shell to VIR housing. Remove these screws about three turns only. Remove VIR mounting bracket from receiver. Hold VIR housing and push on lower end of receiver shell to break seal. Now remove the receiver mounting screws. Remove shell by lowering it downward to clear liquid pickup tube and filter screen. Discard bag of old desiccant and replace with new. Reinstall receiver shell and tighten mounting screws to 5-7 Ft. Lbs.
