Structure and inner electrical connection

Depending on the series, the EDME (Electrical Digital Motor Electronics) or the DME feeds the temperature sensors with 5 V.

To balance inner temperature effects, the NTC resistor is operated at low current. This means that the external ambient temperature is decisive for the resistance value.

The engine compartment temperature sensor and the engine compartment temperature sensor 2 are identical in their construction.
