12 61 285 Replacing engine oil level sensor: Notes

WARNING: Hot fluids.
Risk of scalding!

Conduct all work in the vehicle wearing appropriate personal protective equipment only.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE ACOUSTIC COVER
Release the oil filter cap and remove the filter element. Refer to ENGINE OIL SERVICE .
Release the oil drain plug
Remove the FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION

Follow-up work

Tighten the oil drain plug to 25 Nm.
NOTE: Replace the sealing ring.
Install the front underbody protection
Top-up motor oil.
Tighten oil filter cap to 25 Nm after lightly oiling the O-ring.
Refer to INSTALL ACOUSTIC COVER
Check engine oil level
