61 14... Removing and installing/replacing auxiliary power distribution box

High-voltage system - danger to life!

The following points must be strictly observed prior to starting work  :

WARNING:

Observe SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS  for handling vehicle battery.

Follow instructions for DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .

Follow instructions on INTELLIGENT BATTERY SENSOR .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unlock and disconnect the connector (1).

Unclip cable (2) and lay to one side.

Release auxiliary power distribution box (3) in the direction of the arrow.

Release cover (1) from latch mechanisms and remove.

Installation note: 

Latch mechanisms (1) on cover (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Undo Latch mechanisms (1) and remove connector support (2) in direction of arrow.

Slacken nut (1).

Tightening torque 61 12 1AZ .

Slacken nut (2).

Tightening torque 61 12 1AZ .

Unscrew nut (3).

Tightening torque 61 12 1AZ .

Slacken nut (4).

Tightening torque 61 12 1AZ .

Slacken nut (5).

Tightening torque 61 12 1AZ .

Feed out auxiliary power distribution box (6).

Installation note: 

Retaining lugs (1) on the auxiliary power distribution box (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Installation note: 

The auxiliary power distribution box must engage correctly in holder (1).
