Oil level check 
For vehicles with electronic oil level check, the minimum oil level is monitored electronically while driving and displayed on the control display. A Check Control message is displayed if the oil level reaches the minimum. On vehicles with oil levels check via dipstick, the minimum oil level is not monitored electronically.
Insufficient engine oil 
Top up with oil immediately otherwise engine damage can occur due to insufficient engine oil. Make sure that you do not add too much engine oil.
Too much engine oil 
Have the vehicle checked immediately otherwise engine damage can occur due to too much added oil.

Check fluid level. 
Do not reach into the engine compartment 
Do not reach into spaces or gaps inside the engine compartment. Otherwise, danger of injury is present (for example due to moving or hot parts).
  1. Stop vehicle with engine at operating temperature on level ground safely after a journey of at least 10 km/6 miles.
  2. Turn off engine.
  3. After about 5 minutes pull out the oil dipstick and wipe with a lint-free cloth, tissue or similar.
  4. Carefully push the oil dipstick into the measuring tube up to the limit position and pull it out again.

The engine oil level must be between both of the marks of the oil dipstick.
The engine oil quantity between both the marks of the oil dipstick amounts to 1 liter/1 US quart/2 pints.
