Hands-Free Mode
IMPORTANT:
Whilst driving, the driver should make calls in hands-free mode only.
It is legally permissible for the driver to make a call in hands-free mode using the hands-free microphone and loudspeakers in the vehicle while he is driving.
Hands-free mode is automatically activated when a call is accepted using the transmit/receive button on the multi-function steering wheel. If the radio is switched off during call acceptance, the audio system for the voice output will be switched on automatically. The call is then conducted in full duplex digital transmission using the hands-free microphone and the loudspeakers in the vehicle. The transmission quality is improved by digitising the analogue voice signals. The audibility of the voice signals is better.
