Removal & Installation

  1. Read out fault memory of control module and, if necessary, print diagnostic record.
  2. Remove DSC hydraulic unit. See DSC HYDRAULIC UNIT (MK60) .
  3. Seal off the line connections with the plugs (1) provided in the repair kit. This prevents brake fluid from being discharged from the hydraulic unit, which makes it easier to bleed the brake system later. Secure provided retaining lug (2) from repair kit for pump motor with aid of plugs (3). See Fig 1.
  4. Loosen screws (1). Carefully detach control module (2). See Fig 2.
  5. For installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
