- Place removed components on a clean surface and cover them using lint-free cleaning cloths.
- Carefully cover or seal open components.
- Immediately remove leaking liquids and clean the affected areas.
- Only install clean components: remove the replacement parts from their packaging just before installing them and wear clean gloves.
- Remove any transport or protective packaging and covers just before installing the component.
- Protect the disconnected electrical or optical connectors from dirt and moisture and only connect when they are dry.
Cleaning the vehicle and motor:
- When cleaning the vehicle or motor using a pressure washer, never direct the stream of water onto electrical components or connectors.
