1. Checking the Gear Locks/ Button Functions

Test step 1.1

-- Push the selector mechanism control forward (one notch) and release it.

"N" position must be engaged.

"N" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.

-- Press the "P" button.

"P" position must be engaged.

"P" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.

Test step 1.2

-- Pull the selector mechanism control toward the rear (one or two notches) and release it.

The selector lever position "P" must remain selected.

Test step 1.3

-- Pull the selector mechanism control toward the rear (one or two notches) and release it.

"D" position must be engaged.

"D" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.

-- Pull the selector mechanism control toward the rear (one or two notches) and release it.

"S" position must be engaged.

"S" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.

-- Push the selector mechanism control forward (one notch) and release it.

"N" position must be engaged.

"N" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.

-- Push the selector mechanism control forward (one notch) and release it.

"R" position must be engaged.

"R" position must be displayed on the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display -Y5-.
