Windshield Wiper Assembly Overview: Notes

Remove cowl panel cover, retaining rail and water deflector for access.
- Wiper blade
- Wiper arm
- Adjusting Fig. 1 Wiper arms, adjusting
- Cover
- Nut, M8
- Tightening torque: 16 Nm (12 ft lb)
- Washer
- Nut
- Tightening torque: 26 Nm (19 ft lb)
- Crank
- Installation position Fig. 2 Wiper motor crank, installed position
- Windshield wiper frame
- Installed with bearings
- Must be replaced as complete unit
- Bearing
- Pressed into wiper frame
- Screw with washer
- Tightening torque: 6 Nm (53 in lb)
- Actuating rod, left
- Pry off
- Coat bearing surface with MoS2 grease
- Wiper motor
Removing:
-- Pry up actuating rods
-- Remove 3 securing screws
- Bolt and washer, for bracket
- Rubber plate
- Bushing
- Screw w/washer
- Tightening torque: 6 Nm (53 in lb)
- Mounting bolt, wiper motor
- Actuating rod, right
- Pry off
- Coat bearing surface with MoS2 grease
- Bracket
