Charging During Service And Repairs

An Electronic vehicle (PHEV) can always be charged for service and repairs.
The following exceptions apply:
Exceptions:
- When activating high-voltage system the charger must be unplugged, this means no charging when performing procedures on the high-voltage system. After the new starting of the high-voltage system it can be charged.
- Vehicles under suspicion of high-voltage system damage may not be charged.
- Vehicles on which the cooling system does not completely function or on which the cooling system will be opened during the service or repairs, may not be charged.
Additional Hazard Warnings:
- On procedures in the engine/motor compartment close to the charger pay attention to the possible thermal hazards.
- On procedures when cleaning the vehicle exterior with water no charging process may take place.
- The high-voltage system supports the 12V vehicle electrical system via a DC converter when it is active. If the 12V battery is disconnected during specific operating conditions the high-voltage system can supply power to the 12V system.
