5.3 Driver Assistance Systems Control Module - J1121-, Removing and Installing: Removing
- Lay the carpet at the left front of the center console. Refer to Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 70; Vehicle Interior Trim Panels; Carpet, Removing and Installing.
- Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning; Rep. Gr. 87; Air Routing; Overview - Air Routing and Air Distribution in Vehicle Interior.
- Loosen the air duct to the footwell vent and lift it upward as much as possible.
- Remove the screws -arrows-.
- Free up the wires -1, 2, and 4-.
- Guide out the mount -3-with the driver assistance systems control module and lay it aside.
- Disconnect the connectors -2 through 5-.
- Remove the screws -arrows-.
- Remove the mount -6- from the driver assistance systems control module -1-.
