Selector Lever Handle, Removing And Installing: Removing
Both the selector lever handle and the selector lever boot -1- are removed.
-- Press the button on the electro-mechanical parking brake to activate it.
-- Shift the selector lever into the "N" position, and switch off the ignition.
-- Unclip the selector lever boot using fingers or Trim Removal Wedge:3409 on both sides -arrows-.
-- Fold the selector lever boot -2- upward and over the selector lever handle -3-.
-- Turn the locking ring all the way in direction of -arrow-. The markings -a and b- no longer line up.
The selector mechanism could get damaged.
- Do not touch selector lever handle button -1- when removing the handle.
- The handle or the shift mechanism pull rod will get damaged.
-- Remove the selector lever handle and selector lever boot without touching the button -arrow-.
When removing the selector lever handle the button -arrow- is push outward and locked. Do not push the button -arrow- on the selector lever handle inward with the handle removed.
