ATF Pipes, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- Coat the ATF line O-rings with ATF.
-- Push first the ATF supply line -6- and then the ATF return line -5- until stop in the transmission.
-- Install the bolts -2 and 3- hand-tight.
Ignore items -1 and 4- in the illustration.
-- Coat the connections -3- on the ATF cooler with ATF.
-- Install the ATF lines -2 and 4- until stop and push down the clip -1-.
-- Pull on the ATF line to make sure it is secure.
-- Install the bracket -4- for the ATF supply line -6- and the ATF cooler bracket.
-- Tighten the bolts -2 to 4- to the tightening specification.
-- Install the spacer -1- on the ATF lines.
-- Install the wires on the starter, refer to STARTER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the battery tray and the battery, refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VERSION 1 or BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VERSION 2 , also see OVERVIEW - BATTERY, BATTERY IN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT .
-- Install the air filter housing, refer to OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine: EA 888 Generation II, As of 01/2018) or OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 09/2016). (For Air Filter Housing 2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation III, As of 12/2017, information not available). .
-- Observe measures after connecting the battery, refer to CONNECTING (Battery in Engine Compartment), or CONNECTING (Battery in Luggage Compartment) .
-- ATF level, checking and filling, refer to AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID .
-- Install the left front wheel spoiler, refer to FRONT WHEEL SPOILER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the noise insulation, refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING and OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
