3. Closing Locks, Checking, Vehicles with Keyless Stop and Start System

-- Press the Access/Start Authorization Button -E408- briefly to attain the "ignition on" setting.

-- Do not move the selector lever into "P" but rather, for example, into "N".

-- Switch the ignition off.

• A warning message must appear in the instrument cluster.
• The vehicle cannot be locked.

-- Switch on the ignition and shift the selector lever into the "P" position.

-- Switch the ignition off.

• The vehicle can be locked.

If the specified values are not obtained:

-- Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in Guided Fault Finding  for Fault Finding.

-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .

-- Check the locking button on the selector lever handle. Refer to 4. Lock Button on Selector Lever Handle, Checking .
