Tightening Specifications

-- Insert the rubber elements -B- into the drive plate -A- as shown in the illustration and lightly coat using for example tire mounting paste or soap solution (as a lubricant).

-- Insert the drive plate -C- far enough into the rubber elements until it contacts the A/C compressor input shaft -B-.

NOTE:

This illustration shows the rubber elements -B- in version "1". The rubber elements in version "2" are joined to each other at top.

-- Install the drive plate -C- with a commercially available band wrench (with webbed band) by turning it in direction of -arrow E- on the compressor shaft -A- while counterholding it with the counterholder -B- on the compressor shaft -A-.

NOTE:

Depending on the version of the A/C compressor (the A/C compressor shafts are different), use a wrench or, for example, the Extension with Counter Holder 2:T10001/10 from the Shock Absorber Set:T10001 or Counterhold - Shock Absorber:3079 to counterhold.
