- Before tightening, adjust exhaust system free of stress. See EXHAUST SYSTEM, ALIGNING FREE OF STRESS .
- Tighten bolt connections evenly
- Center muffler
- Center and rear muffler are one unit as original equipment and can be replaced individually for repair purposes.
- Cutting location, see CENTER AND REAR MUFFLER, SEPARATING
- Align exhaust system so it is free of stress before tightening clamp. See EXHAUST SYSTEM, ALIGNING FREE OF STRESS .

- Front exhaust pipe with flexible joint
- Do not bend flexible joint more than 10° otherwise it can be damaged.

- Threads of new oxygen sensors are already greased with assembly paste. Paste must not get into slots on sensor body
- When reusing old oxygen sensor, grease threads lightly with hot bolt paste. See Parts catalog.
