Energy Management Control Module, Removing and Installing

Removing 

• If the control module was replaced, select the "Replace" function for the respective control module in "Guided Fault Finding" or "Guided Functions".
• With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire → Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting .

• Remove ground stud - 3  - and nut - 2  -.
• Detach Energy Management Control Module J644.
• Disconnect connectors - 1  -.
• Detach ground cable to battery from Energy Management Control Module J644.

Installing

When installing, always heed the following sequence, otherwise proper function of Energy Management Control Module J644 cannot be guaranteed.

1. Attach ground cable to battery to Energy Management Control Module J644.
2. Install Energy Management Control Module J644 by installing and tightening ground stud 3 and nut 2.
3. Connect ground (GND) wire to battery.
4. Connect connectors 1 on Energy Management Control Module J644.
5. Perform necessary steps after connecting battery.

If Energy Management Control Module J644 was replaced, it must be coded.
