• Disconnect battery.

  See BATTERY DISCONNECT PRECAUTIONS .

• Remove driver-side airbag unit.

  See appropriate Air Bag Restraint Systems article.

• Remove airbag unit and steering wheel.

  See appropriate Air Bag Restraint Systems article.

• Put wheels in straight-ahead position.
