Work sequence

• Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051. See VEHICLE DIAGNOSTIC, TESTING AND INFORMATION SYSTEM VAS 5051, CONNECTING AND SELECTING FUNCTIONS and select vehicle system "01 - Engine electronics" from list. Engine must be idling.

• From list -1- select diagnostic function "08 - Reading measured value block".

1 - Enter display group

• Use keypad -2- to enter "004" for "Display group number 004" and confirm by touching Q key.

• Check display in zone -4-.

  (1) If temperature displayed deviates considerably from sensor ambient temperature, check sensor/sensor wiring for contact resistance and open circuit.

• Terminate function "08 - Reading measured value block" by touching <-- key.
