Adaptation of fresh air blower RPM decrease, performing (adaptation channel 08): Notes

NOTE:
  • The fresh air blower speed is lowered so that the speech recognition and speech input of the telephone can be understood better:
    • The speed decrease comes in affect, as soon as "Telephone speech input" information is sent via the CAN-bus comfort system.
    • The time of speed decrease is limited to a maximum of 2 minutes.
    • The amount of fresh air blower speed that will be decreased, depends on the direction of air and of the fresh air blower RPM when the "Telephone speech input" signal occurs. As more air is directed to the instrument pane vents, the fresh air blower speed is decreased.
    • The fresh air blower-RPM decrease comes in affect when approximately 40% of air is directed to the instrument panel vents, the maximum decrease occurs at 100% of air at the instrument panel vents.
    • In "Basic setting" the fresh air blower speed of 100% air to the instrument panel vents is limited to 15% of maximum fresh air blower RPM. This limit can be lowered or increased via the "Adaptation" function in adaptation channel "8".
      • To avoid repeat visits by the customer, after the adaptation has been changed it is reasonable to talk to the customer about the functioning of the speech input function and how it relates to the fresh air blower speed decrease (i.e. 100% air to instrument panel vents) and test if necessary.
